To attain space saving and low cost by obtaining motor temperature from the output voltage which changes depending on temperature of Hall element.
An operating temperature of a brushless motor M is detected from a detected output voltage which changes depending on temperature of a Hall element 25 by making use of the temperature dependence characteristic of the Hall element (magnetism detecting element) 25 used for detecting the rotating position of a rotor 22 of the brushless motor M. Thereby, since a motor temperature can be detected with a member which is previously provided within a motor case without using an exclusive temperature detecting element, it is no longer required to acquire the space for arrangement of the temperature detecting apparatus and to lay the wiring and moreover it is possible to realize cost down.
