Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for the detection of the concentration of a liquid, in which the concentration of the liquid in a wide range is detected by using an optical sensor.
SOLUTION: A liquid carrying roller 1 is formed in such a way that an eccentric disk part 1b and two identical-diameter disk parts 1a which sandwich the eccentric disk part 1b from both sides and whose diameter is larger than the diameter of the eccentric disk part 1b are integrated. By using the liquid carrying roller 1, a liquid to be detected is filled into a recessed part, in the circumferential direction, formed in a step part between the eccentric disk part 1b and the two disk parts 1a. The liquid is formed in a plurality of film thicknesses which are different from each other according to the step part. Then, on the basis of the output of an optical sensor regarding the plurality of film thicknesses, the concentration of the liquid is detected.
