Abstract:
To provide a device for determining shape-collapse of a grinding stone, which can make an increase of local grinding resistance in a specific portion in a grinding surface of the grinding stone, or an increase of local shape-collapse.SOLUTION: An evaluation value calculating part 72 calculates, as an evaluation value, an average value Rav of differences showing amplitude of waveforms, on the basis of waveforms indicating integrated strength values Xi of an AE signal calculated by an integrated strength value calculating part 70, and a shape-collapse determining part 76 determines occurrence of local shape-collapse in an end face 12a of a flat grinding stone 12, on the basis of the fact that the average value Rav of differences R calculated by the evaluation value calculating part 70 exceeds a shape-collapse determination threshold SPt for differences. This can determine local shape-collapse in the end face 12a of the flat grinding stone 12, which enables starting of dressing of the flat grinding stone 12 to be determined at an appropriate timing, without requiring skill.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
