Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DRIVE MOTOR DETECTING ROTOR POSITION BY UTILIZING VARIATIONS IN INDUCTANCE OF STATOR WINDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3678598
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make identical the positions of application of drive signals in respective phases by outputting position detection signals corresponding to the rotational position of a rotor on a phase-by-phase basis, based on voltage corresponding to the inductance of the winding for each phase of a stator, correcting the signals so that the output positions are identical, and applying the drive signals to the winding of the stator.
SOLUTION: When a transistor 18 is turned on by a step function signal outputted from a control circuit 20, a step function voltage is applied to a resistor 16 and a winding 3 of an SR motor. A position detecting circuit 19 compares the inputted voltage with a threshold set by resistors 21 and 22 through a comparison circuit 23. When the input voltage reaches the threshold, the position detecting circuit 19 detects this and outputs a position detection signal to the control circuit 20. The control circuit 20 calculates timing for driving the SR motor from the inputted position detection signal and outputs a drive signal to a drive circuit 29. As a result, since the position detection signal is outputted at the same rotational angle for each phase, the position in which a drive signal is applied can be made identical for all phases.
