Abstract:
To solve a problem that, in the separation of a top medium sheet, forcing air into a trail edge of a stack causes the separation, however, air is not concentrated at the separation of the medium sheet.
A method and an apparatus for feeding medium sheets 330 in an image forming device are disclosed. The method may include steps of applying air downward to a top of the trailing edge of the medium sheet located at a top of a medium stack 170 that is fed to an image forming section of the image forming device, the applied air causing the top medium sheet to separate from the medium stack, and feeding the separated top medium sheet to the image forming section.
