PURPOSE: To improve the adsorptivity of magnetic toner by applying the magnetic field of the same direction as that of the magnetic field by a latent image write head at the time of spraying the toner onto the recording paper superposed on magnetic latent images.

CONSTITUTION: Magnetic latent images are formed on an endless belt 2 of a magnetic recording medium by a write head 10 which is selectively energized. When the same magnetic field as that of the heat 10 is generated in the recording paper 13 superposed on this belt 2 by way of a magnetic field generating coil 15 and the magnetic toner being spouted from a nozzle 17 is sprayed onto the paper 13 within said magnetic field, then the adsorptive power of the toner according to the latent images becomes larger even when the toner of small holding power is used. Hence, the adsorptive power of the magnetic toner substantially increases and the distinct images are copied on the recording paper.
