Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a running fiber web to be gathered at a high production speed or at a high speed of a sliver without an interference regarding a method and an apparatus for gathering the web in a carder into the sliver.
SOLUTION: In a method for gathering a web fed from the delivery mechanism of a carder into a sliver by making the web pass through the hole of a web guide element 3 and by guiding it to a trumpet 5, the web guide element 3 is extended from the inlet edge of the trumpet 5 as one body and air flowing against the direction of web advance when the sliver is compressed escapes from the hole of the web guide element 3.
