Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for intermittently injecting a liquid, especially a liquid in an area of an equipment for discharging waste heat in a spacecraft.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid remaining in the discharge channel after stopping the delivery of liquid is sucked, and when the delivery of liquid is started again, the previously sucked liquid is again fed into the discharge channel. For this purpose, the nozzle housing 1 encloses an inner chamber 4, which is divided into a discharge channel 6 and a receiving chamber 5. The discharge channel 6 is connected to a nozzle inlet 3 and the receiving chamber 5 in which a piston 8 is movably guided is connected to the discharge channel 6 through a flow passage 7. The discharge channel is closed off by a sealing member 24 which is connected to the piston, after positioning in a rest position.
