Abstract:
PURPOSE:To inspect whether or not the position of a cooling air hole opened at the end part of a turbine blade is proper. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic wire 4 is tightly fitted in a cooling air hole 3 opening at the end part 2 of a turbine blade 1. A testing coil 5 for generating a magnetic field is moved along the surface of the turbine blade 1. The distance between the wire 4 and the surface of the turbine blade 1 is measured by the amplitude of an eddy current signal resulting from the change of the impedance of the testing coil 5, so that it is checked whether or not the cooling air hole 3 is formed at the thick center of the end part 2 of the turbine blade 1.
