In a laser processing method, a laser beam oscillated from a laser oscillator 3 is vertically applied to a worked part of a frame suspension 27 by an f-theta lens 7 by scanning with the laser beam in a scanning area 12, to perform spot welding. The scanning area 12 is covered with a chamber part 9 to make a closed space while transmission of the laser beam through a glass plate 9a is allowed, and nitrogen or argon supplied from a gas supply source via a piping 21 is blown off in a fan shape or a parallel line shape along the scanning area 12 via valves 15, 17 and 19 of a gas supply part 11, and the nitrogen or the argon inside is discharged from holes 13a and 13b of a discharge part 13 while maintaining a positive pressure in the closed space.
