To provide a method and apparatus for manufacturing a bent-tube capable of bending a tube with high accuracy by avoiding a strength reduction due to a thinner wall thickness and flattening a tube stock and without causing generation of a springback.
An apparatus provided with a gripping means 2 to grip a metallic tube stock 1, a revolving body 4 which is rotatable centering on its own rotational shaft 3 to reciprocate relatively in the axial direction and in the axial right angle direction against the tube stock 1, and at least one rolling roller 5 held by the revolving body 4 so as to reciprocate in the radius direction is used. Rotating the revolving body 4 and reciprocating the revolving body 4 relatively in the axial direction against the tube stock 1 and transferring the revolving body 4 relatively in the axial right angle direction and at the same time, a forming roller 5 is transferred in the radius direction proceeding to the rotational shaft 3 in parallel to the relative transfer in the axial direction of the revolving body 4. By this way, the outer side surface of the tube stock 1 is pressed down in the axial right angle direction with the rolling roller 5, tumbling in the circumferential direction on the outer side surface of the tube stock 1 and sliding in the axial direction and a recessed bent-tube portion is formed by drawing the tube stock 1.
