To provide a method and apparatus for continuously manufacturing an injection-molded article having pores, especially, an optical connector part with good productivity at a low cost.
A process for inserting a long wire material 4 in the cavity of a mold 1, which has at least one cavity 2 regulating a product outer shape, under tension and injecting a flowable material in the cavity and a process for intermittently moving the wire material are successively repeated to manufacture a series of intermediate articles wherein a large number of injection-molded articles are fixed to the wire material and, thereafter, the wire material of the intermediate articles is axially pulled to be elastically deformed so that the diameter of the wire material is reduced and the wire material is pulled out of the injection molded articles. As the wire material, a heat-resistant metal wire high in elastic limit, especially, a wire comprising an Ni-Ti ultraelastic alloy is used and, as the flowable material, various materials such as ceramic paste, a synthetic resin, a metal, an amorphous alloy containing 50 volume % or more of the amorphous phase or the like can be used.
