To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a metallic member having grid-shaped grooves by which the metallic member with the grid-shaped grooves formed having a desired cross-sectional shape and dimensions is efficiently manufactured at a low cost.
This manufacturing method of the metallic member having the grid-shaped grooves has a step where a plurality of parallel grooves G1 in a 1st direction are formed on at least one side of the metallic member by pressurizing the planar metallic member B to be worked with a 1st rotary roll 4 having a plurality of parallel projections 10 extended in a 1st direction and a step where a plurality of parallel grooves G2 in the 2nd direction are formed on at least the one side of the metallic member by pressurizing the metallic member with a 2nd rotary roll 6 having a plurality of parallel projections 12 extended in the 2nd direction which is different from the 1st direction.
