Abstract:
In the continuous production of a power cable, its cores (14) are stranded with a reversing lay and are jointly encased by an injection-coated sheath. This sheath holds the cores (14) in the desired stranding position in such a way that there is no need for special measures for this purpose. The cable cores (14) are fed to a stranding device (20) via deflecting or guiding rollers or drums (18), and to a correspondingly perforated guiding disc (13) which is secure against rotation. The cores are stranded with at least two-fold mutual winding and a lay length of at least 250 mm. The ratio of the effective stranding disc diameter to the distance of the stranding point (15) from the stranding disc (2) is between 1:2 and 1:10. During stranding, the cable cores (14) are simultaneously injection coated directly at the stranding point (15) or at an only slight distance therebehind of less than 100 mm. They are then drawn off or reeled up as a finished cable.
