To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a photocatalytic film having high strength and high photocatalytic activity, by each of which the photocatalytic film can be manufactured at a low cost and to provide the photocatalytic film, a contaminant decomposing method and an optical part.
This method for manufacturing the photocatalytic film comprises the steps of: generating an oxyhydrogen flame F by using an oxyhydrogen burner 2 having a quadruple pipe structure; supplying the vapor of titanium tetrachloride being a raw material of a photocatalyst to the oxyhydrogen flame F by using a pipeline 7 to hydrolyze and thermally oxidize the vapor of titanium tetrachloride in the oxyhydrogen flame F at the same time and; jetting the produced titanium oxide particle toward a substrate 8 together with the oxyhydrogen flame F to form a titanium oxide film on the substrate 8.
