Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a tube for orienting staple fiber in a circumferential direction. SOLUTION: A circumferential orientation imparting unit 18 is provided between an inner surface of a nozzle 12 and a core 15 inserted into the nozzle 12. The unit 18 has a fixed shearing cylinder 19 including a plurality of cylinders 19a of different diameters concentrically arranged and fixed to the nozzle 12 and core 15 sides, and a rotary shearing cylinder 20 including a plurality of cylinders 20a of different diameters arranged to be superposed between the cylinder 19a of the cylinder 19. The cylinder 20 is coupled to a rotary shaft 22 and rotated by the shaft 22. Slurry 6 is effected by a shearing force between the cylinder 20 and the cylinder 19 so that staple fiber 6a is oriented in a circumferential direction.
