Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the measuring accuracy of a thermal resistance, to simplify the measuring operation, and to allow it to be applied to a tube of various structures or a flat heat exchanging wall in a method and an apparatus for measuring the resistance in which the quantity of adhered scale or slime to the inner surface of the tube to be measured is specified.
CONSTITUTION: The temperature of fluid F flowing in a tube 1 to be measured and the temperature of a heat source 2 disposed near the tube 1 to be measured are detected by a temperature sensor 21 to measure the temperature difference of the both, and the heat flow rate to be transferred between the tube 1 to be measured and the source 2 is measured by a heat flow sensor 3, and the resistance of the tube 1 to be measured is calculated based on the difference and the flow rate.
