Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make removal of mixed foreign materials proper, to improve the compression molding conditions of plastics, and to improve the shape quality of plastic granules, concerning a method for producing the plastic granules for a chemical raw material applicable to an oiling plant, a steel manufacturing blast furnace, a coke furnace, and other reaction facilities by removing the foreign materials of waste plastics including used plastics recovered from homes, and an apparatus for the method.
SOLUTION: The waste plastics, the foreign materials, after being separated by combining a magnetic separator, an eddy current type metal removing apparatus, a screen device, and an air separator, are crushed and compression-molded with adherent water controlled to be 10% or below, with the use of a compression molding machine having a hole mold at least 6 mm in diameter, at 100-140°C of the waste plastics in the plastic holding part of the compression molding machine.
