Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically judge the state of a slag flow by converting the slag flow to binary values without being influenced by non-uniform combustion light and halation at a port of a melting furnace through which the slag flow flows down.
SOLUTION: A slag flow image is converted to a binary value as a threshold value for binary processing the average value of brightness in an average operation range 38 determined by a certain picture element (X, Y). After a slag flow region is extracted using the information of the slag flow image processed by the binary processing, three characteristic amounts of slag flow brightness, the number of the slag flows, and the area of the slag flow are calculated, and slag flow judgement is performed for every three characteristic amounts, and worst judgement among the three judgements is taken as a slag flow judgement result.
