Abstract:

To make the temperature of a substrate approximately equal during printing in each printing unit for water soluble gravure printing.

A first printing unit 200 includes a printing portion 210, a dryer portion 220, and a cooling portion 230. The dryer portion 220 includes a number of hot air nozzles 222 evenly spaced apart thereon. A number of guide rolls 223 are provided to correspond to the hot air nozzles 222. Cooling tubes 224 for injecting cooling water are connected with the guide rolls 223, and the surfaces thereof are cooled. Cooling water is injected also into the cooling roll 231, and the surface thereof is cooled. A driving motor 241 and a belt 242 are provided. The belt 242 hangs over the guide rolls 223 and the cooling roll 231. The guide rolls 223 and the cooling roll 231 are rotated together by the belt 242 at the same circumferential velocity as the speed the substrate is conveyed at.
