To provide a method and an apparatus for packaging bundled sheet paper or the like wherewith adjustment is made at a position of a joint connecting a first film with a second film and reduction is made for the number of heating wires at welding and cutting parts.

The apparatus is equipped with a pusher 13 that moves upper and lower tension rollers 25, 26, being in resistance against their self weights, with bundled sheet paper 12 or the like pushed at a specified distance against upper and lower films 2, 5 held with a holding guide 10 and draws out the upper and the lower films 2, 5 from upper and lower roll parts 2, 6 and wraps the drawn-out films round the bundled sheet paper 12 or the like, a welding and cutting part 15 that brings the upper and the lower films 2, 5 wrapped round the bundled sheet paper 12 or the like into contact with each other and makes the films cut after being welded by heating, and an adjustment means that adjusts the amount of movement for the first and the second tension rollers 25, 26 when the upper and the lower films 2, 5 are drawn out.
