Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare a fish paste product having the texture similar to that of the legs of crab, in a small space, without using a horizontal conveyor, by carrying out the bonding of the fish paste during the downward motion by its own weight.

CONSTITUTION: The web of the semi-finished product of the heat-treated fish paste A1 transferred continuously from the front conveyor 1 is slitted continuously in the form of the teeth of a comb with the slitter 2, and hung down. The web of the semi-finished fish paste product A2 having longitudinal slits of the form of the comb teeth is moved downward by its own weight, and bound in a continuous cylindrical form in the course of passing through the space encircled with the ring-shaped grooves 5a and 5b of the mutually circumscribing spool- shaped disks 4a and 4b and the endless belts 6c and 6d moving downward. The bound cylindrical product A3 is cut to the desired length by the cutter 12.
