PURPOSE: To obtain dull-finished resin coating and glazed surface easily and optionally by a method wherein a matter to be coated is entirely coated with ultraviolet curing resin coating in proportion to the difference in degrees of wetting between the matter to be coated and an endless film, and the matter to be coated is separated from the endless film with external force applied to marginal surfaces thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Ultraviolet curing resin coating is applied in a coating section 7 to an endless film 9 that is made of ultraviolet-transmissive material and is converted into a mat-like state at least at a part of the surface thereof. One side of a matter to be coated 2 such as paper or the like is stuck approximately in the state of oxygenless to the coated surface of the endless film with its surrounding marginal surfaces left unstuck. Then, the ultraviolet curing resin coating on the coated surface is irradiated, through the endless film, with ultraviolet rays and is cured, and thereby the matter to be coated is coated with the ultraviolet curing resin coating. External force is, then, applied to a place between the endless film and the unstuck marginal surfaces of the matter to be coated, and the matter to be coated is separated from the endless film in a separating section 15. Thereby processed surfaces can be obtained without requiring a large, long resin film.
