Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing composite material having higher concentration of a reducing agent than conventional one while suppressing renewal frequency of a plating bath.SOLUTION: A production method of composite material in which a reducing agent is dispersed in a metal matrix, the reducing agent reducing oxide of metal at room temperature, comprises a composite plating step of immersing an adherend (30) as a matrix for depositing composite material into a plating bath as a cathode, thereby co-depositing the metal and the reducing agent to the adherend. The plating bath has metal salt as a main component, and is a solution in which the reducing agent is dissolved or a colloidal solution in which the reducing agent is dispersed. In the composite plating step, the reducing agent is supplied to the plating bath so that the concentration of the reducing agent around the cathod is maintained higher than that around an anode.
