To provide a method and an apparatus which can be suitably used for producing a fine particle dispersion liquid at high efficiency in a short time.
In a dissolution step, a poorly-soluble drug and a dispersion stabilizer are dissolved in a volatile organic solvent. In a fixing step, the organic solvent present in the solution prepared in the dissolution step is removed by evaporation and the residue 1 in the form of a pellet is prepared by removing the organic solvent, and the residue 1 is fixed on respective bottoms of a plurality of places in a container 30. In a water-pouring step, water 2 is poured into a respective plurality of recesses 31 in the container 30. In an irradiation step, the residue 1 fixed on respective bottoms of a plurality of recesses 31 in the container 30 is simultaneously or successively irradiated with a laser beam L emitted from a beam irradiation section 20, thereby pulverizing the residue 1 to fine particles. Accordingly, these fine particles are dispersed into the water 2 to produce a fine particle dispersion.
