Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the overall man-hours by dispensing with extra aftertreatment steps such as the step of adding a precipitant to a tank holding a coating material containing metallic ions in removing the metallic ions therefrom and the step of filtering off the precipitate.
CONSTITUTION: A coating material 12 containing iron ions released from an iron work is recirculated through a cation exchange tower containing a cation exchange resin 16 in the inside, whereupon the iron ions can be removed from the coating material by reaction with the resin 16.
