Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for hot rolled strips which are capable of freely setting up a rolling program and sufficiently satisfy the requirements for the accuracy and flatness of the cross-sectional surface of the rolled strips.
CONSTITUTION: The target contour of the cross-sectional surface of the rolled strip 3; 4 is previously set and two continuous adjusting device groups are made to act on the rolled strip 3; 4 in order to achieve the target contour. The work roll 12 and work roll bending device 13 of the first adjusting device group of these two adjusting device groups are commissioned when the thickness of the rolled strip 3; 4 is above the critical thickness to control the contour of mainly the rolled strip 3; 4 in a central region with respect to the center of the rolled strip. The work roll 12 and work roll bending device 13 of the second adjusting device group are commissioned in the edge region of the strip when the thickness of the rolled strip is below the critical thickness.
