PURPOSE: To prevent scum soiling and gloss ununiformity and to maintain an output on the outlet side over a fixed value by inserting a stainless steel sheet between pinched rolls after the final rolling and supplying straight rolling oil to the stainless steel sheet before the pinch rolls.
CONSTITUTION: On the outlet side of a cold rolling mill 10, straight rolling oil is sprayed from a spray equipment 18 to a stainless steel sheet 14. Then, the scum soiling causing defects such as gloss ununiformity and surface soiling is cleaned up by straight rolling oil high in solubility to scum. Further, the surface of the stainless steel sheet 14 is coated by the pinch roll 16 uniformly with the straight rolling oil to reduce the gloss uniformity from the steel sheet surface. Furthermore, water-soluble rolling oil low in friction coefficient is removed, the friction coefficient between the pinch roll 16 and the stainless steel plate 14 is increased, the tension on the outlet side of the cold rolling mill 10 can be kept high.
