Abstract:

To provide a method for separating meal chloride from the gaseous reaction mixture obtained at synthesizing chlorosilane and a filtration unit, a dissolving unit and a condenser therefor.

A suspension is filtrated under pressure in an inactivated zone to cut off air and moisture and filter cake is crushed in the inactivated zone. The crushed filter cake is supplied to a dissolving zone to dissolve the metal chloride so that an aqueous solution of the metal chloride can be obtained. According to this method, the metal chloride can be safely separated surely from the suspension in chlorosilane and expensive renewal and aftertreatment of a metal chloride melting liquid are not necessary.
