PURPOSE: To simultaneously bend and draw a metallic sheet and to improve productivity by holding the metallic sheet between a die provided with a drawing recess and a blank holder and moving the die and the blank holder relatively to a bending die.

CONSTITUTION: The metallic sheet 14 notched at its four corners is mounted on the blank holder 7 and when a ram 4 is lowered, the metallic sheet 14 is held between the die 13 and the blank holder 7. The die 13 and the blank holder 7 comes under the upper end surface of the bending die 6 and enters the inside of the bending die 6. As a result, the end parts of the metallic sheet 14 projecting from between the blank holder 7 and the die 13 are bent by the external sides of the die 13 at right angles to form flanges 15. When the die 13 and the blank holder 7 fall further, a stopper 11 comes into contact with a die holder 5, the drawing punch 10 which falls together with the blank holder 7 stops falling. The metallic sheet 14 is projected upward from the falling blank holder 7 and a recess part 16 is drawn by a drawing punch 10 and a die hole 13a of the die 13 on the metallic sheet 14.
