Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the transfer phenomenon of undried ink by transferring the first print image in the outer periphery of a press roller, then retransferring the first image to the first surface of a print sheet, and simultaneously transferring the second print image to the second surface of the sheet.
CONSTITUTION: Split engraved master having two surfaces of first and second engraving images is used in the rotating direction of a plate cylinder 1 by using a press roller 21 separable to the cylinder 1 for winding a master on the outer periphery. The steps of bringing the roller 21 into direct contact with the cylinder 1 corresponding to the image area of the first engraving image, rotating together them and transferring the first print image corresponding to the first engraving image in the outer periphery of the roller 21 are conducted, then rotating the roller 21 together with the cylinder 1 to correspond to the first image to the image area of the second engraving image while bringing the roller 21 into contact with the cylinder 1 via the sheet, the first image is retransferred to the first surface, and simultaneously the second image is transferred to the second surface.
