Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply refuse accurately and stably irrespective of property (compressibility) of the refuse.
SOLUTION: When refuse is supplied to an incinerator through a lower outlet of a hopper by using pushers 3A, 3B disposed in a plurality of stages arranged vertically and capable of being advanced and retracted, firstly the lower stage pusher 3A is advanced from a retreat limit A to a protrusion limit B so as to deliver the refuse, then is retracted to the retreat limit B so as to stop within an outlet 1a of the hopper 1 and further the upper stage pusher 3B at a retreat limit (a) position is advanced to a vicinity of a front end part of the lower stage pusher 3A at the retreat limit B position along an upper face of the lower stage pusher 3A so as to push the refuse on the lower stage pusher 3A forward. By this method, even if the refuse having a low compressibility and hardly moving downward is charged, the sufficient amount of the refuse can be supplied to an incinerator by filling front spaces formed when the lower pusher is retracted.
