Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the line structure of a scanning line inconspicuous when part of a screen is enlarged by adding scanning lines to an original image signal and supplying information from scanning lines of an original screen which adjoin to the added scanning lines for the added scanning lines. CONSTITUTION: A flyback or blanking pulse starts at an observation point t0 of time and ends at a point t3 of time. A scanning line (n) is transmitted between t3 and t'0 . At t'0 , the pulse starts for a next scanning line n+1. This pulse ends at t'3 and the image contents of the scanning line n+1 are transmitted between t'3 and t"0 . Similarly, the processes are repeated thereafter. At t0 , a memory is reset and at t1 , the image signal of the scanning line (n) begins to be written to the memory (figure C). At t'0 , a 2nd memory is reset, and the image contents of the scanning line n+1 are written therein between t'2 and t"0 . At t"0 , the 1st memory is reset again and the image contents of a scanning line n+1 are written therein. This process is repeated alternately for following scanning lines. The image contents of a scanning line n-1 are read out twice between t1 and t'1 to make a display with two scanning lines.
