To provide a method and an apparatus for suspended matter separation which can efficiently and quickly separate non-strong polar suspended matter dispersed in a polar solvent with a simple structure and method.
The suspended matter separation method uses a suspended matter separator 1 comprising a gas introduction part 2 introducing a gas in the form of bubbles from the outside space into the polar solvent containing the non-strong polar suspended matter, and a separation column 4 making the suspended matter adhere to the bubbles to separate it from the polar solvent, and comprises the process of introducing the gas in the form of bubbles into the suspended matter-containing polar solvent, in the gas introduction part 2, and the process of making the polar solvent flow through a flow passage in a state of forming bubble aggregate parts on the way of the flow passage to trap the suspended matter by the bubbles in the bubble aggregate parts, in the inside of the separation column.
