Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the temperature suitable to tissue treatment by comparing a threshold impedance between an initial maximum tissue impedance and a minimum tissue impedance with a measured impedance, and turning off a power controller correspondingly to the compared results. SOLUTION: When operating a pair of endoscope bipolar electrosurgical clippers, single resistance thermal devices(RTD) 110, 112 as temperature sensors are connected to keeping members 104, 106, and each of RTD 110, 112 is connected to a controller 126 through a pair of amplifiers 128, 130. The output of RF generator 132 is impressed on the keeping member 104, 106 through a power controller 134, impedance measuring circuit 136 and a connector 120. At this time, a threshold impedance value Z' that is set between the initial maximum impedance and the minimum impedance is compared with a measured impedance value Z in the controller 126, and if the Z is larger than Z', the power controller 134 will be turned off.
