Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate the transportation to the remote position for purifying by deforming, cutting off and tearing latently contaminated heat exchange tube into segments.
CONSTITUTION: The condenser tube of a deformed symmetrical cross section 20 is inserted into feeding guides 22, 24, and sent to a splitter/chopper unit 10. A pair of push rollers 2, 4 are regulated to hold the section 20 horizontal with the centerline of a splitter blade 12. The rollers, 2, 4 and tensile rollers 6, 8 of the downstream are rotated oppositely to each other, and a flat tube is passed through the blade 12 at a predetermined speed by feeding the rollers 2, 4 and pulling operation of the rollers 6, 7, and torn. Upper and lower guide members 14, 16 are guided to the rollers 6, 8 while being brought into slide contact with the torn tube upper and lower wall sections 30, 32. The cutter 26 of the roller 6 and the bearing member 28 of the roller 8 force-cut the sections 30, 32 passing between the rollers 6 and 8 in a predetermined length. Cut pieces 34, 36 are discharged to the downstream of the rollers 6, 8.
