Abstract:
To provide a method and an apparatus for treating waste liquid capable of eliminating a hardly decomposable organic compound reliably and inexpensively by a simple method.
In the method for treating waste liquid, the waste liquid containing the hardly decomposable organic compound is subjected to liquid/liquid extraction with oil and the hardly decomposable organic compound is shifted into an oil phase. Therein, the oil phase containing the hardly decomposable organic compound is preferably detoxified and the detoxification can be performed by means of incineration or chemical decomposition.
