To remove all of residual ink not only from the ink chamber of a doctor blade device but also from a supply and discharge pipeline in a simple and sufficient mode by washing the ink chamber with a solvent after sending out ink from the ink chamber.
A doctor blade support 5 composed of a profile material bar is brought into contact with a screen roll 4. The groove forming the inside of the ink chamber is provided to the bar of the doctor blade support 5 and a bore 6 supplying printing ink to a central region is opened to the groove. Bores 7, 8 discharging printing ink are arranged to the lower end region of the groove. The front surface of the groove edge of the doctor blade support 5 is formed into a roof-shaped slope. A doctor blades are provided to the front surface of the groove edge of the doctor blade support and brought into contact with a screen roll 3 for the purpose of performing scraping-off action.
