Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for automatic high-speed winding of a continuous web of a thin film-form material to form a wound roll.
CONSTITUTION: A film 2 bears a train of idling, lay-on rolls consisting of the first and second rolls 25, 26 which are arranged in juxtapositions to a core 6, and in the production position a roll to be wound is made to bear by means of separate pushdown means situated at each end of each roll. The pushdown means each acts on the pivoting respective arm. The arm has one end supporting a roll-holding bearing and has the other end mounted pivotally on a carriage movable forwardly and backwardly along a guide path. This method and apparatus give a perfectly uniform wound roll.
