PURPOSE: To prepare high quality tea, by successively controlling the tea processing elements according to the dehydration controlling program, etc. of the tea processing step stored in a memory and the initial values of the elements.
CONSTITUTION: The EPROM contains (i) a program of the standard decrease of water- content of tea leaves with time during tea processing, (ii) a program giving the adjusting values of the tea processing elements according to the difference between the standard values and the measured water-content, and (iii) a program giving the initial values of the elements of each step. When the rough rolling time is set by the setting device 73 and the starter button 76 is pressed, then the initial values of the rotational speed of the main axis of rough rolling machine, the hot air temperature, and the flow rate are set, the tea leaves are charged in the rolling machine, and the processing is started. The temperature, humidity, etc. are measured at preset check times, and the opening of the damper, the hot air temperature, etc. are controlled according to the measured data to proceed the tea processing following the standard values.
