Abstract:
To provide a method and arrangement for producing nanofiber cellulose by refining lignocellulose-containing fiber material and separating nanofibers, in which an amount of energy used for refining is suppressed.SOLUTION: A method includes the steps of: refining a lignocellulose-containing fiber material in at least one refining zone 20 of one or more refiners 5 to separate nanofibers; feeding the fiber material to be refined through at least one opening 12, 19 in a refining surface 11, 18 of at least one refining element 7, 13 into a refining zone of at least one refiner and/or discharging the fiber material already refined in the at least one refining zone from the at least one refining zone through at least one opening in the refining surface of at least one refining element; and operating to produce a specific edge load (SEL) of less than 3 J/M in the refining.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
