Abstract:

PURPOSE: To inexpensively maintain a specified clearance at all times with simple constitution by repeating operations of rising a grinding wheel by a servo motor to be pressed to a stationary grinding wheel, determining the zero position of a clearance and lowering the rotary grinding wheel from this position so that the prescribed clearance is maintained at all times.
CONSTITUTION: The torque limit value of the servo motor 13 is set at 50% of the max. permissible torque of its output shaft and the set value of the clearance is set at 100μm. An operation is started in the state of sufficiently parting the rotary grinding wheel 4 from the stationary grinding wheel 1 and immediately, the rotary grinding wheel 4 is risen to be pressed to the stationary wheel 1, and further is risen until the torque limit value is attained. The servo motor 13 is thereafter stopped to stop rising of the rotary grinding wheel 4 at the time the torque limit value of 50% is attained. The servo motor is then immediately run reversely to lower the rotary grinding wheel and the lowering of the rotary grinding wheel is stopped at the initially set clearance value. This operation is automatically executed for about 30 minutes at 10-second intervals. Resins which are materials to be treated are thrown and the frictional crushing operation is continuously executed during this time.
