To provide a tube bending method and a deformation preventing tool used for the same by which the deformation of a metallic tube is prevented and also the properties of the inside surface of the metallic tube are not deteriorated.
In the tube bending method by which bending is performed with a bending device in the state where the tool is inserted into the inside of the metallic tube and the tool is pulled out of the metallic tube after forming by bending, the deformation preventing tool 2 for which a rubber elastic body 4 which is compressible in the axial direction and expandable in the radial direction is used as the tool and also the bending is performed on the metallic tube 1 in the state where the main body part 3 of the deformation preventing tool 2 is inserted into the inside of the metallic tube 1 and the main body 3 of the deformation preventing tool 2 is expanded in the radial direction by applying compressive force in the axial direction to it.
