Abstract:
To provide a method for bonding a rubber to fibers, which is very simple and excellent in adhesiveness, and to obtain a rubber/fiber composite.
The method for bonding the rubber to the fibers comprises impregnating the fibers with at least one radically polymerizable monomer having an organic group containing an ally group, an epoxy group or an alkoxy group in the molecule, irradiating the impregnated fibers with an electron beam, and then subjecting the obtained fibers and a rubber composition added with a compounding agent which reacts with the organic group to vulcanization bonding.
