Abstract:
To provide an improved method for braking a weft to minimally retain a stress generated on the weft.
This method 1 for braking the weft 3 of a jet loom 10, comprising bringing a braking element 2 into contact with the weft 3, operating the braking element 2 with a driving source 21 according to a preliminarily determinable distance/time plot, thereby bending the weft 3 with the braking element 2 according to a position function 23, and thus braking the weft 3 according to a braking profile 31, is characterized in that the position function 23 matches to the braking profile 31 of the weft 3.
