Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor and cost of overall work in the case where an optical network is built.
SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable F0 for trunk for transmitting the signals from an information source A in a prescribed area. This optical fiber cable F0 for trunk is provided with branching devices C1, C2,... at every prescribed pitch in mid-way of its wiring. Besides, optical fiber cables F1 for branching are respectively separately installed between these front and rear branching devices, C1 and C2. In addition, the respective optical fibers (q) constituting the optical fiber cable F0 for trunk are cut by the number of pieces necessary for branching within the front and rear branching device C1 and C2 in such a manner that the same optical fibers (q) are not cut in superposition at the front and rear branching devices C1 and C2. Both ends of the respective optical fibers (u) constituting the optical fiber cables F1 for branching are discretely connected to the respective optical fibers (q) so, as to form a loop with to information source A and thereafter, the respective optical fibers (u) constituting the optical fiber cables F1 for branching are cut by the required number of pieces and are discretely connected to terminals B1 to B6 which receive the information from the information source A.
