To provide a brazing method of a tank for a heat exchanger, with which the drip-down of viscous flux coated on the tank is not developed and the contamination of circumferential equipments and the useless consumption of the flux can be avoided.
The viscous flux 21 is coated on the opening part edge 11a of the tank body 11 and the flux 21 is interposed only on the joining portion where the opening part edge 11a comes into contact with a seat plate 12 of the tank body 11. Then, since tank body 11 and the seat plate 12 are brazed by heating and actuating the flux 21 to melt brazing filler metal, the flux 21 is not dripped down from tank 5A, 5B in the conveying process of the tank 5A, 5B to a heating furnace and in the heating process in the heating furnace.
