To develop a system having general purpose properties of establishing an ink using quantity and a displaying function of a coating pattern of an ink in view of a problem impossible to divert other printer from a printer with the displaying function of a gap of an ink exit because of a special purpose use of the displaying function to the printer and to establish an ink using quantity.

A method for calculating and displaying the ink quantity comprises the steps of calculating a correcting value by using respective correcting values of each color/ink maker/sheet moisture absorptivity, printer/ blade width/general purpose, calculating the ink content of each blade by using a blade opening/a film width/film length/the number of blades/ink film thickness/ correcting value/ink specific gravity, and totalizing them to calculate the ink quantity of each color plate. The method further comprises the step of establishing a total ink using content of each color plate of the number of printing sheets according to the ink quantity/total number/number of cutting/ number of printing sheets of each color plate.
