Abstract:
To provide a method for casting an aluminum alloy by which adverse effect on various characteristics caused by porosity is eliminated.
When an aluminum alloy cast block is cast with the solidification in a mold, the casting is performed by measuring hydrogen gas content H (ppm) in the molten aluminum alloy before poured into the mold and cooling so that a solidification processing velocity V (mm/s) during casting and a temperature gradient G (K/mm) in a solid and liquid coexistent range, satisfy the relation in the following formula: H<4.6V2.13/G0.56.
