Title:
METHOD FOR CHANGING FOCAL POINT OF LENS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03260601
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a focal point variable lens by simple constitution by arranging two ring-like rod bodies and two annular bodies on the periphery of a deformable double plate lens, and rotating these bodies to extend/contract the lenses. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral edge of two transparent and deformable single plate lenses are made airtight to form a freely extensible double plate lens 2. The rod bodies 3, 4 having prescribed extensible structure are arranged on respective peripheries of the single plate lenses constituting the double plate lense 2 and two annular bodies 5, 6 having a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the double plate lens are arranged on the periphery of the double plate lens. The bodies 5, 6 can be rotated mutually in the reverse directions and the periphery of the double plate lens 2 is extended/contracted through the rod bodies 3, 4 by rotating the bodies 5, 6 respectively in the clockwide and counterclockwise directions to change the thickness of the main part of the lens 2, so that the focal point of the lens 2 can be optionally changed.
